Remembering Ed Giles
With both sorrow and great hope in Christ, we share the news that former Christian High School Principal Ed Giles entered the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 9.
Mr. Giles faithfully served at Christian High School for well over a decade beginning in the late 1980s, leading with a servant’s heart, a love for students and faculty, and a deep commitment to the work of the Lord. The 1992 Patriot yearbook was dedicated to Ed, students writing that he was “an example of leadership for young people and the work of the Lord here at CHS.”
We thank God for the countless students, families, faculty, and colleagues whose lives were touched through Mr. Giles’ leadership. While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant."
Please join us in praying for his wife Tricia and the entire Giles family during this time.
And as generations of Patriots have sung through the years, we hold tightly to the promise: “We’ll meet again around God’s Heavenly Throne.”

✨ Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Emery ✨
For the past 4 years, Mrs. Emery has been faithfully serving our first graders at Christian Elementary School East, pouring into their hearts and minds each day.
What she loves most? The sweet community built during weekly devotions—time spent growing together in faith and encouragement.
In her classroom, she intentionally models Christ-like character, showing her students what it looks like to live with self-control, kindness, and gentleness. It’s in these everyday moments that seeds of faith are planted.
Her life verse, Galatians 6:9-10, is a daily reminder to keep doing good and shining the light of Christ in all things.
When she’s not in the classroom, you might find her out on a hike—especially if there’s a waterfall waiting at the end! 🌿💧
And her favorite part of teaching? Those simple, joy-filled moments—students working together, worshipping, and experiencing God’s love in real time.
Mrs. Emery shares, “Our school family and class family are such a beautiful part of my day!”
We are so grateful for teachers like Mrs. Emery who faithfully live out their calling and make an eternal impact. 💙
