JKW Saturday Challenge! 🎮
This week’s challenge is for our future Roblox game designers.
Imagine you are building a Roblox obby in Roblox Studio.
Your obby has 6 levels.
Each level has 4 checkpoints.
Question: How many checkpoints are in the whole obby?
Bonus challenge: If you could design your own Roblox obby, what would the theme be?
At JKW, we love helping students see that game design is more than just playing a game. It can include planning, building, testing, problem-solving, creativity, and even math.
Answer: 24 checkpoints.

STEAM Spotlight: building, presenting, and creating at Minecraft Technology & Art Camp! ⛏️
This week, students are doing more than just exploring Minecraft — they are designing, building, testing, sharing, and learning from one another.
Campers worked on creative Minecraft house builds and then had the opportunity to present their creations on the big screen for the class. We love seeing students explain what they made, share building tips, and learn from each other’s ideas. These moments help students practice communication, confidence, creativity, and problem-solving.
Students also continued the art side of camp with Minecraft-inspired Perler bead creations, using patterns, color choices, planning, and patience to bring their designs to life.
That is what we love about STEAM learning at JKW: students get to create with technology, build with their hands, share their ideas, and grow through the process.

Minecraft Technology & Art Camp is officially underway at JKW! ⛏️
Day 1 was full of building, exploring, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of Minecraft-inspired fun. Students jumped into Minecraft Education, learned a fun command/coding trick to instantly create a huge TNT setup, explored how mod sets can be imported, and started discovering new ways to build and play with purpose.
Campers also received a 3D-printed Creeper clicker to keep, adding a fun hands-on piece to the day. We love combining technology, creativity, and real problem-solving so students are not just playing — they are learning how digital tools work, how commands can change a world, and how creativity can turn into something they can build, test, and share.
We still have some open spots this week! Families can choose full day or half day, and students do not have to sign up for the full week. They can attend one day, multiple days, half days, or full days. We just ask families to register in advance whenever possible so we can plan spots, supplies, and all the extra builds and activities we prepare for camp.
We are excited for the rest of the week at JKW Innovations!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a day of remembrance, gratitude, and respect for the sacrifices made by those who served.
From all of us at JKW Innovations, we are thankful for the freedoms we enjoy and for the families who have carried the cost of that sacrifice.
Wishing everyone a meaningful Memorial Day.

JKW Saturday Challenge! ⛏️
Let’s do a little Minecraft 3D block math today.
This Minecraft-inspired Creeper was built using 47 wooden blocks. The head alone is a 3 × 3 × 3 cube.
Question: If 3 students each built one Creeper using 47 blocks, how many wooden blocks would they use altogether?
Bonus challenge: How many blocks are in the Creeper’s 3 × 3 × 3 head?
At JKW, we love turning fun themes into opportunities for students to think, create, problem-solve, and use their imagination. Next week’s Minecraft Technology & Art Camp will include hands-on creativity, computer-based building, teamwork, design, and fun challenges throughout the week.
Answers: 141 blocks total. The head uses 27 blocks.
