🌿 A little peek into our school garden 🌿

There’s something special about walking through the garden and noticing how much has grown.

From tiny green tomatoes hanging on the vine, to little peppers slowly ripening, to our baby watermelon growing day by day - every corner feels full of life.

Our garden is more than just a green space.
It’s where children slow down, observe closely, ask questions, and connect with nature in the most natural way.

Watching things grow helps little learners grow too πŸ’›

πŸ’§ Is your child drinking enough water each day?
Watch till the end for a quick check! The answer may surprise you!

According to pediatric guidance from CHOC, a simple rule to remember is:

Your child should drink the number of 240ml cups equal to their age.

πŸ’‘ That means:

πŸ’§ 2 years old β†’ around 480ml/day
πŸ’§ 3 years old β†’ around 720ml/day
πŸ’§ 4 years old β†’ around 960ml/day
πŸ’§ 5 years old β†’ around 1.2L/day

(This refers to plain water only - not including milk, juice, or other drinks.)

πŸ’‘ Water helps children:

βœ” regulate body temperature while playing
βœ” support digestion and prevent constipation
βœ” stay energized throughout the day
βœ” focus better during learning time

And the tricky part?
Young children are often too busy playing to notice they’re thirsty.

πŸ’‘ A few easy reminders at home:

βœ“ offer water regularly throughout the day
βœ“ keep a bottle within easy reach
βœ“ encourage a few sips after outdoor play
βœ“ make water breaks part of the daily routine

Does your child drink enough water each day?

Building Focus Through Simple Tasks 🧩✨

Focus doesn’t always begin with worksheets or sitting still.

Sometimes, it starts with pouring water into a bucket…
picking up tiny objects one by one…
matching pictures…
or carefully placing small pieces with little fingers.

In these simple everyday moments, our children are learning something powerful: how to pay attention, stay present, and keep trying.

At school, we create many opportunities for children to slow down and explore through hands-on activities. These tasks may look small, but they build important skills like:
🌱 concentration
🌱 hand-eye coordination
🌱 patience
🌱 problem-solving
🌱 independence

Whether scooping, sorting, matching, or transferring objects, each activity invites children to focus on one step at a time β€” and feel proud of what they can do on their own.

Because sometimes the biggest learning happens in the simplest moments. πŸ’›

🎨 Art Time - Coloring & Creativity ✨

In today’s art class, our little learners explored the world of colors, shapes, and imagination through fun drawing and coloring activities. From choosing their favorite colors to creating their own unique artwork, every child had the chance to express themselves freely and confidently πŸ’›

Art activities are more than just playtime - they help children develop fine motor skills, focus, creativity, and self-expression in a natural and joyful way. While coloring and drawing together, the children also learned how to share materials, follow instructions, and appreciate each other’s creations 🌈

What makes art time so special is that there is no β€œright” or β€œwrong” answer. Every painting, every line, and every little detail reflects a child’s personality and imagination in their own beautiful way ✨

Seeing their happy smiles and proud faces while showing off their artwork truly made our classroom brighter today!

🎨 Art Is Childhood Language ✨

🌟 When we think about children doing art, many of us picture colorful drawings hanging on the fridge, tiny handprints on paper, or messy paint-covered tables. And while those moments are absolutely precious, art is actually doing something much deeper for a child’s development.

🌱 For young children, art is not simply an activity - it is a way of thinking, feeling, exploring, and communicating with the world around them.

πŸ“ Every scribble, brush stroke, fingerprint, and cut-and-paste creation is helping children grow in ways that are often invisible at first. While they are painting, drawing, molding clay, or experimenting with colors, they are also learning how to make decisions, solve problems, express emotions, and build confidence in themselves.

🎨 Art gives children the freedom to create without fear of being β€œwrong.” Unlike many activities that focus on right or wrong answers, art allows children to explore openly and trust their own ideas. That freedom is incredibly important in early childhood because it helps children feel safe to try new things, take risks, and express who they are.

🎨 Sometimes children are not yet able to fully explain their feelings with words, but they can show us through colors, shapes, movement, and creativity. A simple drawing can tell a story, express excitement, release frustration, or reflect how a child sees the world around them.

🌟 In a world that can sometimes feel structured and fast-paced, creative experiences give children space to slow down, imagine freely, and simply enjoy the process of creating something uniquely their own.

Here are some meaningful ways art supports your child’s growth and development. πŸ’›

Look at this week’s delivery πŸ₯•πŸ₯¬
A whole rainbow of fresh goodness for our little learners. 🌈

Fresh fruits, warm nutritious meals made right here on site, and ingredients sourced from the local farmers we’re proud to support.

Many of our items are organic and farm‑fresh, reflecting our commitment to quality care in every way, from nutrition to our facility to the curriculum we build for our children.

At our preschool, we believe nutrition is an important part of early childhood education. Healthy meals help children focus better, play actively, and build positive lifelong habits from an early age.

Because caring for children means caring about every detail.
From the food they eat, to the environment they learn in, to the experiences we create each day. πŸ’›

πŸ“± Making Screen Time "Our Time" πŸŒ‰
We often hear that screens pull families apart, but honestly, screens aren't the "bad guy." It’s all about how we use them! 🧐

Think of it this way:

When a little one watches a show all alone, it can feel a bit lonely.

But when you sit down beside them, that same show becomes a fun adventure you're sharing together! πŸ‘©β€β€οΈβ€πŸ‘¨

Instead of a quiet dinner with a tablet, imagine sharing a quick, silly video and laughing until your tummies hurt.
We don't have to say "no" to technology (we know how hard that is! πŸ˜‚). We just want to turn Screen Time into Together Time.

✨ Simple Ways to Connect:
βœ“ Snuggle Up: Just sitting next to your child for a few minutes tells them, "I’m interested in what you love." πŸ›‹οΈ
βœ“ Chat About It: Ask sweet little questions like, "Oh look! What is that bunny doing?" or "What do you think happens next?" πŸ—£οΈ
βœ“ Share the Joy: Don't be afraid to laugh out loud or act surprised. Let them see you enjoying their world! πŸ™Œ
βœ“ Cozy "No-Screen" Moments: Keep meal times and bedtime for just us ~ perfect for extra cuddles and heart-to-heart talks. πŸ’–

Connection does not always need a lot of time.
Sometimes, it just needs us to be truly there. πŸ’–

When our children grow up, they won't remember exactly what was on the screen...
✨ They will remember that you were right there with them. ✨

πŸ€ Let's make every digital moment a chance to bond! πŸ€

🍽️ Happy Tummies, Happy HeartsπŸ₯¬πŸ’š

At I.Newton, lunch isn't just about finishing a plate. It’s actually one of our favorite times of the day because of the sweet connections happening around the table.

Whether it’s learning how to handle a spoon, sharing a laugh with a best friend, or proudly saying β€œI’m all full!”, these little moments are huge steps for our kiddos. It’s where they pick up independence and social skills without even trying.

There is nothing better than seeing our little ones enjoying their food, chatting away, and growing more confident with every single bite.

We believe even the simplest daily routines are a beautiful part of our learning journey together.

Wishing all our students a yummy and happy lunchtime! πŸ₯£βœ¨

Getting Ready to Write ✏️

Before children learn to write letters and words, they first learn something even more important.
They learn how to control their little hands.

In our classroom, Pre-writing practice is a joyful daily activity where children trace lines, follow patterns, and explore shapes step by step. What may look like simple drawing is actually building strong foundations for future writing.

As children carefully follow each line, they are developing:

πŸ–οΈ Fine motor skills
πŸ‘€ Hand and eye coordination
🧠 Focus and patience
πŸ’ͺ Confidence in their abilities

You might notice their serious faces while tracing a curve, then the proud smiles when they finish a page. These small moments are big milestones in their learning journey.

At our school, we believe learning happens through practice, encouragement, and celebration of progress. Every line traced today is a step closer to confident writing tomorrow.

Because every great writer starts with a single line. ✨
