Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? Our Alternate Route Program is designed for dedicated individuals aiming to qualify for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) through the State of California.

🗓 Application Window:
May 1 – June 15
Applications will only be accepted during this open enrollment period. Late submissions will not be reviewed.

📍 What Happens Next:
Once the enrollment period closes, our admissions team will review all applications and contact candidates that meet the requirements to schedule interviews. Admission decisions for the next class will follow the interview process and candidates will be informed by June 30, 2025. The next class will begin August 8, 2025.

Please carefully review the state of California's prerequisites for eligibility through the Alternate Route. These requirements are essential for those seeking to sit for the VTNE via this pathway.

The Alternate Route pathway is outlined in California Code of Regulations, Section 2068.5 under Practical Experience and Education As Equivalent Curriculum.
