☀️🍉 Summer Learning 2026 Visit! 🍦📚

Today’s camp visit at John Will Elementary School was filled with engaged learners, intentional instruction, and meaningful literacy experiences! From small group intervention and data driven conversations to whole group fluency practice, students were actively building their reading skills while having fun. It’s always exciting to see teachers creating opportunities for students to grow, learn, and thrive all summer long!

We observed engaging multisensory and writing activities and enjoyed a wonderful read-aloud from a local community author. Huge shoutout to Calcedeaver Elementary School for hosting such a successful Literacy and Math Night Carnival! 🎡📚✨

The campus was full of energy, excitement, and smiling faces as students and families enjoyed an evening centered around learning. From Readers Theatre to engaging stations and family involvement, every detail helped make the night memorable for our students.

A special thank you to the administrators, teachers, staff, and volunteers who worked so hard to create such a meaningful experience for families. Your dedication to promoting literacy in creative and engaging ways does not go unnoticed! ❤️

Events like these remind us how important strong school-family partnerships are in helping students grow as readers and learners. What a wonderful way to wrap up the year! 🎟️📖🌟

We are proud of one of our Region 10 Educator Preparation Programs for hosting one of ARI’s EPP Research to Practice Labs. Faculty from our region and from around the state engaged in a day of collaborative learning around the science of reading and the science of learning. Participants were able to observe strategies from the science of learning in practice in a college classroom and how those strategies impacted student learning. Faculty participants walked away with actionable next steps for strengthening instruction in their own classrooms.

🌸 In Full Bloom: Coaching Community #4

Just like flowers bloom with the right conditions, powerful teaching and learning flourish through collaboration, reflection, and intentional practice. 🌼
Coaching Community #4 was a beautiful example of this growth in action! 🌱�LRS Jennifer Johnson and Ms. Haley co-taught a phonics lesson centered on spelling generalizations, where students actively engaged in encoding words with long i spelling patterns. Through cooperative word sorting, students deepened their understanding by identifying and explaining the spelling patterns they used—true learning in bloom! 🌷
This work didn’t stop at instruction. LRS Jennifer Johnson and Ms. Haley thoughtfully co-planned next steps, ensuring instruction remains responsive and targeted.

Local Reading Specialists also reflected on their coaching practices, setting intentional goals to finish the year strong and continue growing their impact. 🌿
