Always remember the Confederates. The first team in 17 years to win a state football title and win 37 games in a row!. They changed the name because of fear because of the Confederate name. Yet our fallen ancestors blood is in the dust of Broxton Bridge!
The real problem is how they took down the pictures of our young men in the gym and took their names off the plaques to be politically correct. If it were not for those young men the fence around the school and the new bleachers would not be there. It came from their state title wins! And another thing you change the name Confederate but leave a slave owner named Andrew Jackson! Think about that! Always remember our Champions who were disrespected. They tried to erase history. They could have changed the name but they didn’t have to act like the Confederates never existed .
