What a wonderful week of education and connection! 💙

Today, we had the opportunity to talk with local teachers Aspire High School & TriStar Academy, and this past Tuesday, we spoke with another group of approximately 150 women!

Education and community awareness are core values of our clinic. We are passionate about starting conversations, sharing practical information, and helping more people understand that pelvic health concerns are common—but they don’t have to be accepted as normal. From normal toileting habits🚽 and bowel movements 💩 to sexual health to kid’s toileting issues at school as well as pregnancy and postpartum care- Dr. April covered a little bit of it all!

We are so grateful for every opportunity to bring pelvic health education into our community and empower women to better understand and care for their bodies!

Several students in Careers traveled to Lake Land College’s Construction Trades Expo this afternoon. A big thank you to our host as well as all the tradesmen and women who came out to support our students in planning their future.

When worlds collide, it’s a great day in Careers class. THREE former students chatted with current students about how rough patches and the tenacity to push through can lead to tremendous success. Owner and Operator of AnnAdele salon Elizabeth Watts, esthetician Lacey Goldstein, and Teryn Beckler shared some valuable insights into the world of work and life. “Just do it!”

Army Sgt. Kolton Kidd (aka Mrs. Kidd’s youngest son) came to speak with careers class today about his experiences serving the last 3 years in the Army. From boot camp to escorting heads of state, he shared his story. We appreciate his time with us and his service!

Today, Careers class traveled to Dieterich to tour Probst Auto Body. Customer service rep Karla Slifer detailed the administrative side of working there while General Manager Adam Mette discussed apprenticeship opportunities as well as the repair and technical side of the business. Thank you for allowing us a look into what employment opportunities your business has to offer!

Careers class was on the move again this week. This time CORE Academy director Jerry Tkachuk explained everything the Effingham Technology Center has to offer our seniors. Students toured the facility and got a chance to explore. Thanks to Mr. Tkachuk for the opportunity to visit!
