🌻 Willowbrook Wednesdays 💛

Each week, our students visit the residents at Willowbrook to share time, stories, creativity, and laughter, and every visit is a reminder of the beauty of connection across generations.

From playing turkey bullseye together 🦃 to playing parachute games with joy and teamwork, these moments bring out kindness, patience, and curiosity in our students.

At Crossroads Montessori, we believe in Purposeful Work & Real-World Engagement, and these visits are a perfect reflection of that core value. The relationships we’re building at Willowbrook continue to grow, one smile (and one parachute toss!) at a time. 🌈✨

🎳 Bowling Wednesdays at Crossroads! 🎳

Every month, our students look forward to one of their favorite traditions, our last-Wednesday bowling trips to thunder lanes! These outings combine fun, teamwork, and movement as part of our P.E. program, and they always end with big smiles (and sometimes a friendly competition over pizza and nachos!). 🍕🎉

A huge thank-you to Tyler for always being so welcoming, even opening up early just for us each month. Your kindness and community spirit make such a difference to our students and staff. 💚

It’s local partnerships like this that remind us why we love being part of the Effingham community; learning, growing, and supporting each other right here at home.

Our first Crossroads Montessori Halloween Party was a huge success, and it’s all thanks to YOU!

We were thrilled to welcome around 45 students, parents, and friends for an afternoon full of costumes, crafts, games, snacks, and laughter. 👻✨

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and made the day so special. Your energy and community spirit are what make Crossroads such a magical place to grow and learn. 🌱

🧙 1:40–1:50 PM — “Would You Rather?” Halloween Edition
🥧 1:50–2:00 PM — Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest
🍬 2:00–2:15 PM — Trick-or-Treat Exchange
🕺 2:15–3:00 PM — Halloween Dance, Crafts, Games & Snacks

🍂🎃 Pumpkins, Sunflowers, & Science at Schaefer Pumpkin Patch! 🎃🍂

Last week our students headed out of the classroom and into crisp autumn air at Schaefer Pumpkin Patch. We explored pumpkins, wandered through sunflower patches, and dove into a meaningful conversation about pollination, why sunflowers and pumpkins might grow side‑by‑side and how insects and plants work together to make our world bloom.

From hayrides and barrel rides to discovering nature trails and pumpkin‑picking, the fall fun was real and so was the learning. These moments remind us that at Crossroads Montessori School we don’t just read about science: we live it, breathe it, and grow with it. 🌻🧠🍁

Huge thanks to Schaefer Pumpkin Patch for hosting us and to all of our chaperones who made the trip safe, fun, and full of discovery.
