Our 6th–8th grade students recently completed a hands-on Bubble Lab in Ms. Vonderheide’s Science class! As they learn about the scientific process, experiments, and variables, students tested Dawn, Ajax, and Seventh Generation dish soaps to see which could produce the biggest bubble. Students practiced identifying dependent and independent variables, conducting an experiment, collecting data, and comparing their results. Ajax produced the biggest bubbles, followed by Seventh Generation, with Dawn coming in third. It was a fun way to put the scientific process into action!

Our 6th–8th grade students recently completed a hands-on Bubble Lab in Ms. Vonderheide’s Science class! Have you seen our newly painted dugouts yet?! They are amazing! Our Home dugout features a proud "Home of the Shamrocks" message while our Visitor dugout features a special phrase we say here at school each day: "Work Hard, Play Hard, Pray Hard". Our students hear this every morning and then see it on the dugout when they go out to the playground for recess.

Come see the dugouts and watch a Shamrock baseball and/or softball game! Our softball team is brand new this year, and the girls are excited to represent SHS on the field!

The next home softball game is tomorrow night, Friday, August 28, at 4:30pm against Dieterich.

The next home baseball game is Monday, September 14, at 4:30pm against Altamont.
