Hands-on learning is happening at LES! Our 5th graders used unit cubes to build rectangular prisms. This will help them MASTER calculating the volume of a solid figure!

Our first grade readers are working hard on learning how to be great reading partners! They are practicing taking turns, following along while their partner reads, listening carefully, and encouraging one another along the way💙

Partner reading gives our students an opportunity to build fluency, confidence, independence, and teamwork, all while putting their growing reading skills to work!

🔍🔍3rd graders became detectives in ELA! By using clues from "The Red Book", the students had to make claims about the “crime scene” and judge their evidence. This is practice for them in inferencing and choosing correct evidence in their writing 🔎🔎
