We are definitely ready for some lower temps and bugs to go away. We’ve enjoyed the water, library and lots of chalk when we could sneak it in.

We celebrated 2 birthdays this summer and said goodbye to to a friend after 2 years of fun.

Our little wildflowers are learning all about transformation, patience, and caring for living things! Over the past few weeks, we watched tiny caterpillars grow, form their chrysalises, and finally emerge as beautiful butterflies.

Today was extra special as we released them together and watched them spread their wings and fly away.

Hands-on experiences like this help children build curiosity, responsibility, and a deeper connection with nature. The excitement on their faces was pure magic!

Today is Child Care Provider Appreciation Day, and I just want to say something to the provider who is running on caffeine, cold coffee, little sleep, and pure love.

To the one who gets up before the sun to prepare for the day before anyone else even arrives…

To the one who wipes tears, noses, bottoms, tables, counters, and somehow still manages to comfort everyone else while ignoring her own exhaustion…

To the one who feels guilty when she takes a day off, stressed when a parent is unhappy, and wonders if she’s doing enough…

You are.

You are doing more than enough.

These children may never remember the crafts, the meals, the songs, or the toys. But they will remember the feeling of being safe with you. Loved by you. Comforted by you.

And parents are handing you the most precious thing in their entire world every single day because they trust you that deeply.

That matters.

Even on the hard days.
Even on the loud days.
Even on the days you end up sitting in silence after everyone leaves because you are completely touched out and emotionally drained.

What you do is important.
What you do is valuable.
And the love you pour into these children every day changes lives more than you probably realize.

So today, I hope you stop for just a second and realize how incredible you truly are.

Happy Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. ❤️

✨ May the 4th Be With You ✨

Today at Little Wildflowers Playschool, we brought a little galaxy far, far away into our day

Our little learners created the cutest Grogu (“Baby Yoda”) handprints—using their tiny hands to make something out of this world! It’s always magical to see creativity, imagination, and a little bit of mess come together.

These moments aren’t just crafts—they’re memories in the making.

Today we celebrated May Day the sweetest way! The children enjoyed creating a beautiful spring craft filled with flowers, color, and creativity…..and maybe some Hersheys Kisses!

We then took a lovely walk to our local coffee shop enjoying the fresh spring air. The excitement continued with a special ice cream treat to top it all off 🍦

Moments like these help build community, encourage creativity, and create joyful childhood memories.

There’s something so special about slowing down and letting little bodies gently sway.

Our hammock space isn’t just cozy, it’s intentional. The soft rocking motion helps children regulate their emotions, build balance, and find a sense of calm in their day. Whether it’s used for quiet reading, imaginative play, or a peaceful reset, this little “wildflower nest” has quickly become a favorite.

In a world that moves fast, we believe children deserve moments to rest, feel safe, and just be little.

There’s something so special about little ones and the library.

We have explored stories, colors, and imagination during our visits. From turning pages to pointing at pictures, every moment helps build early literacy skills, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Library days are more than just books — they’re about listening, sharing, and discovering the world together.

At Little Wildflowers Playschool, we believe even the smallest adventures can plant the biggest seeds.

Potion play can be a great opportunity to practice mindfulness. Mixing and pouring ingredients, focusing on the sensory experience, and slowing down can all help children to stay centered and focused, and reduce stress and anxiety.
