This Thursday, I’m stepping outside my regular club routine to attend a very special meeting at O’Fallon Toastmasters in O’Fallon, IL.
It's going to be bittersweet, as we will be honoring a wonderful member, Leslie Heilig, who passed away on March 30th of this year .
Leslie was a fountain of positivity. She loved traveling, learning, self-improvement, and was deeply committed to her faith.
Her life motto was, “I eat challenge for breakfast.” She proved it too during her life her six weeks in the hospital before her passing , she continued to attend club meetings right from her hospital bed, always with a smile.
We will all miss her positivity, perseverance and the power.
Rest in peace, Leslie.

Did you know that each club has a group of officers dedicated to guiding the club, supporting its members, and ensuring everyone's goals are achieved?
🤔 How do they do this?
They attend the Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) during the Toastmasters year (June–July). Here, officers learn about their specific roles and the responsibilities of each office.
Additionally, they discover new ways to enhance, enjoy, and ensure the club meets the goals set by Toastmasters International.
The great thing about TLI is… it’s FREE to register and attend! It’s a fantastic perk of membership and service to potential members and guests !🌟

The revelation was the K.E.Y.S to success! 🗝️🔑😀
Our first speaker gave a speech about what the acronym stands for
Keep Moving
Explore all possibilities
Yield to nothing
Summit what matters .
She explained that in life we accumulate keys to various versions of ourselves and we eventually decide what keys work and what keys don’t.
Our second speaker gave us the keys to become a successful toastmaster of the evening.
The toastmaster should be demonstrate the upmost efficacy the three parts are:
Plan ahead
Bring the energy
Keep cheering and encouraging those in the other roles of the meeting.
A lively table topics session themed
April showers bring May flowers if you seed ,cultivate, your efforts will
