Tomorrow, we are having a guest speaker August Wise from the Audubon Society! He is going to discuss his research, his career experience and especially birds! This will be on campus in the Science West building room 2075!
On Saturday, February 1, we are having an exciting migratory bird watch event off-campus at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, Missouri! We’ll be able to see so many different bird species along the beautiful river! For this event, we’ll be meeting at the visitor center before venturing out at 9:00 am. Anyone interested in wildlife and conservation careers should enroll in BIOL 471 Plant Systematics this spring, if possible. Federal jobs require 9 hours of botany and at least one course should focus on plant identification. BIOL 471 focuses on plant id and is being offered this spring. It won't be offered next year so it will be your only opportunity to take it if you're a junior or senior. If you're interested enroll right away. The course may not make it it doesn't meet the enrollment minimum.
