Upsilon Phi Omega (UPO) Chapter was chartered on Saturday, January 31, 1998, at Mount Joy Baptist Church in Edwardsville,IL.

The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.

💗💚 Join Us for AKA CHIPP™ on MLK Impact Day! 💗💚

This Monday, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Impact Day, we are coming together to serve our community through Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (AKA CHIPP™). AKA CHIPP™ provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date.

Volunteers will help pack CHIPP items that will be distributed to local schools as we continue Dr. King’s legacy of service, unity, and love in action.
