Global Education endeavors continue virtually with the SOP collaborating with the SON on their upcoming medical mission trip to Guatemala. Greg Jennings, MS, APRN, FNP-C, and Bernadette Sobczak, DNP, APN, CPNP-PC, PMH, invited the SOP to facilitate medication consults during their medical mission at the Land of Hope in Escuintla, Guatemala from October 19-23, 2021. Misty Gonzalez, PharmD, BCPP, will serve as the consult pharmacist, with the hopes of creating a longitudinal service for other pharmacist and student pharmacist participants. The goals of this trip include serving the medical needs of the people served by the Land of Hope, implementing an electronic health record (EHR) system, and creating a longitudinal virtual pharmacist consult service.
