Because we visit so many schools throughout the year, we don’t always get the opportunity to add special lessons outside of our usual Land of Illinois Program. So, it was especially exciting to bring a bonus pumpkin lesson to St.Peter's Lutheran School - Prairietown, IL last Friday! 🎃

As the students listened to our presentation, they jotted down pumpkin facts on 3D pumpkins they could take home as a keepsake.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remember the first responders, service members, volunteers, and countless others who showed courage and compassion in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, may we never forget the lives changed, the heroes who stepped forward, and the unity that brought our nation together.

CAREE always looks forward to providing educational resources for the Rinkel Pumpkin Farm’s Annual Touch-a-Tractor event. We offered tractor decorating, pumpkin masks, and pumpkin lifecycle crowns on Sunday. 🚜

We are so grateful to our wonderful volunteer, Linda LeDuc, for braving the heat and representing CAREE! ☀️🕶️

The fun continues on September 12, when the pumpkin farm officially opens for the season! Make sure to stop by and see all that they have to offer! 🎃

On Friday afternoon, we visited Highland Middle School for the first time this school year. Our topic was horses, and after learning about them in a presentation, we raced walking horses! The students were fascinated by the paper horse’s ability to come to life and walk down our ramp thanks to gravity and kinetic energy!🐴
