🔨⚙️ Learning by Doing at EHS! ⚙️🔨
At Edna High School, students aren’t just learning about careers—they’re getting their hands on the tools and building real-world skills!
Our students in Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems courses taught by Kurtis Koop, and in Victoria College’s Carpentry I class are gaining hands-on experience as they learn to safely use tools. 🛠️
These experiences turn classroom learning into skills for the future! We love seeing our students working hard, learning new trades, and discovering what they’re capable of.

Mrs. Smith’s 6th grade RLA students took their learning out of their seats with a fun Proper Noun Gallery Walk!

Students had a chance to see just how many proper nouns they encounter in everyday life while practicing the important rule that proper nouns name specific people, places, things, or organizations and begin with capital letters.

The best part? Students were learning, collaborating, moving, and sharing their knowledge—all while realizing that grammar is EVERYWHERE! 💡🙌

🧩➗ Math Puzzles! ✏️💙

Our 5th graders were putting those math brains to work today! They did a GREAT job practicing 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication while working through a fun math puzzle challenge.

There was lots of thinking, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition along the way! 🧠✨🧩💙

🏗️ EES G/T Takes on the Tallest Tower Challenge! ⭐

Our EES G/T students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test today with the “Tallest Tower” Challenge! Using only 25 cups, teams worked together to build the tallest tower possible.

Along the way, students explored balance, strong foundations, gravity, spatial awareness, teamwork, and lots of trial and error! We loved watching them think, adjust, collaborate, and keep trying! 💙

🏆 Winning Tower Heights by Grade Level:
⭐ 1st Grade – 2'
⭐ 2nd Grade – 6'3"
⭐ 3rd Grade – 5'2.5"
⭐ 4th Grade – 5'6"
⭐ 5th Grade – 6'3"

📚✨ A special guest joined Mrs. Wilkins’s kindergarten class for library time this week!

Our superintendent, Mr. Briscoe, stopped by to read *A Perfectly Messed-Up Story* by Patrick McDonnell. Our little Wranglers loved the silly story and enjoyed having Mr. Briscoe share the fun of reading with them! 💙🤍

🍦 A Sweet Start to the School Year!
The TAFE officers at Edna High School treated staff to a fun mobile ice cream sundae bar! 🍨 It was the perfect sweet treat to kick off a great start to the school year! 💕
