Metcalfe County Elementary did an excellent job at state convention these past few days. Students loved competing, meeting new friends and trading all kinds of pins.

And Metcalfe Elementary would like to announce that Mayes Sexton is the newly elected Kentucky State Beta President!!

Mayes and the rest of the club will have the chance to compete at National Beta Convention in June at Nashville, TN.

It has been an honor to watch Payton Morgan grow this past year. She has stepped up and shown all the students at Metcalfe County what can happen when you believe in yourself and work hard. She is a great role model and we are super proud of the work she did for our school and state beta members.

Also thank you to Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Amy for the goodie bags to send us on to state convention.

Last night, MECS Beta Club hosted its annual showcase. This is where we bring in outside judges to evaluate students' projects and determine who will go to the state convention in March.

We have a 5th-grade student running for President at the state convention! Join the craze, vote for Mayes- Mayes Sexton!

5th grade students competed at school to have the opportunity to attend the Regional Beta Leadership Summit. These 5 students won and attended the Summit the past two days. They competed and participated and walked away with an invitation to compete at National Convention. Some of the pictures were the group making every effort to win the scavenger hunt. I have no doubt these are students that will be leaders at our school and our community for a long time to come.
