Liminal Space

Liminal Space Providing guidance during transitions using a blend of counseling, coaching and spiritual direction to find life between chapters and discover the future.

Why are we here? Because we provide faithful guidance during major transitions. AND, Because you are here. We suspect that you are on the cusp of - or in the midst of - big change and have realized that you don't want to go through it alone. You have a desire to be intentional with each movement through the transition. Liminal Space offers clients faithful guidance through major transitions using

an intentional Approach designed to invite, provoke and restore an individual in the formation of their future while on their unique path. It is our hope to provide you with the right accompaniment to assist, advocate, challenge, reshape narrowed perspectives, care, and help make sense of the otherwise tumultuous expedition of change and true transformation. Oddly, most of the world navigates major intersections poorly. Have you ever heard someone on the other side of a big transition say, “Well, that went well…just as I expected it to!”? Probably not often. And we believe it doesn’t have to be that way. You can’t ever predict each step through a significant threshold in life, but why should it all be haphazard? All left to chance? At Liminal Space, we don’t think it should be.

"How long until we’re living in the new normal? We don’t know. We’re suspended in a liminal space. The good news is, having already navigated several weeks, we’re a little more steady amidst the waves, and we have a little more margin to respond vs simply react: we’ve recovered a little space to ponder our choices, and a little will and energy to execute. We have choices about how we’re going to navigate this space."

Major change is a disruption to life as we know it. It can easily leave us feeling like a victim. But "victim" is not a place to stay and live out our days from. Each of us are creators, and our stories - especially the painful and challenging ones - can help shape the contours of our courage and creativity.

Here is my conversation with David Emerald, author of The Power of TED. This book is a parable of sorts with wisdom scattered through out inviting us to shift from Victim to Creator no matter the level of disruption we've experienced.

Enjoy!
