HEED Uganda

ABOUT HEED
We believe every child has value, every child can learn, every child is gifted, and that every child should reach their potential. The area is nicknamed “unlucky” because of the harsh climate and lack of resources. HEED stands for help, equip, evangelize, and disciple which is the road map God gave us for bringing fullness of life to the children and the community we serve. HEED operates a primary school and high school which provide education for over 600 children. A community clinic provides the only medical care for about 6,000 people in a 12 mile radius. Our demonstration farm provides food and income for the schools as well as training in best practices for our students and the community. OUR MISSION:
To empower the community and its children toward sustainable spiritual and physical transformation. OUR APPROACH: To HELP the community in a way that fosters the use of God-given assets, capabilities, and talents to fulfill personal and collective responsibilities. We want to partner with community leaders to reduce poverty by creating opportunity through education and work in order to further EQUIP people to achieve their goals and address problems in their community.
