From The Heart of Italy Italian Cooking School Delighting our guests for over 14 years by providing excursions and a hands-on cooking experience

An Italian vacation that includes Italian cooking classes plus a tour of Friuli! Providing a hands-on cooking experience for novices and experienced chefs alike. Learn authentic recipes from five Italian chefs in a professional commercial kitchen in Torlano, Italy which is located at the foothills of the Alps. We share recipes that are over 100 years old that were handed down to us by our ancestors. In the afternoon join us as we visit wineries, an old Roman settlement, a chocolate and pastry manufacturer, shop at a local clothing store, and end the week with a grappa tasting. We experience all these adventures while spending time with a local Italian family which makes this week truly unique. Our former participants have consistently remarked it was one of the best vacations in their life.

A big thank you to those businesses in Friuli who have been such a big part of our success over the years. Hotel Suite Inn (Udine), Foffani wines, the town of Cividale and especially Cappelleria Stile (our favorite hat store in Italy) and the team from the Longobard temple, Dri winery in Torlano, Centa Mode (our favorite clothing store in Italy), Ceschia grappa for an amazing grappa tasting, and Adelia Di Fant for the incredible tastings of candy, grappa, liquors, etc. All of you are so near and dear to our hearts!

Finally, a huge thank you to our partners at Al Paradiso in Torlano, Agata and her whole family. Every year after eating with you and your family at Al Paradiso we leave feeling like we lived with an Italian family for a week and in reality we did because of your hospitality and the love you share with all of us. Once again this year as we travelled about Italy, some guests went to Slovenia and Croatia, everyone commented on the fact that the best meals they had in all of Italy came from you at Al Paradiso you are truly a gem a real treasure!

Happy birthday Angie!!! You were the first in so many ways in our family. Our first child and my parent’s first grandchild. You have paved the way for so many others in the family, first to get married and have children, first to go to State High School Tennis tournament, the list goes on. You are such a loving, caring and unselfish person who takes so much pride in doing for others with nothing expected in return. You’re an incredible wife, mother, daughter, and friend to so many.
