Fifth graders brought back an Oakdale tradition with a twistβKite Day! πͺπ¨
Instead of traditional kites, students designed and built their own sled kites before heading to the football field to see them soar. It was a great opportunity to put science into action while learning about flight, wind, and engineering principles.
What a fun way to end the school year with hands-on learning, fresh air, and plenty of smiles! Way to go, fifth graders! ππ

Our 5th-graders ended the school year with an exciting STEM challengeβdesigning and testing landers to deliver their βeggstronautsβ safely to the ground! π₯π
As they prepare to make their landing in middle school, students put their creativity, engineering, and problem-solving skills to the test in this fun, hands-on activity.
A special thank you to Green Country Electric & Supply for providing their scissor lift and helping make this memorable learning experience possible. π
Good luck to our fifth graders as they soar into middle school next year! π

I wonder if our 6th & 7th graders are still dancing their way into summer? πΊπ¦βοΈ
The last-day-of-school dance was full of energy, laughter, and fun with a great Hawaiian theme, sharks, leis, beach balls, and plenty of line dancing! It was the perfect way to celebrate a fantastic year together.
Thank you to the teachers who helped make the event such a success. Have an amazing summer, Rockets, and be ready to bring that same energy, excitement, and school spirit back in August! ππ

Oakdale Grad! We are proud of Ainslie!

π Congratulations to River Oaks Golf Club member Ainslie Stanford III! π
What an incredible run for one of our own.
Ainslie recently captured the OGA Junior Championship Match Play, battling through an absolutely stacked field to earn the title and be crowned champion.
As if that wasnβt impressive enough, he also claimed victory at the AJGA Thunderbird Heather Farr Classic at Papago Golf Club, where he set the tournamentβs two-round scoring record with rounds of 65-65-73 (-13).
Ainslieβs hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit continue to produce remarkable results, and we couldnβt be more proud to have him represent River Oaks Golf Club.
Congratulations, Ainslie! Everyone at River Oaks is excited to see what the future has in store for you. The sky is the limit. πβ³π

Mrs. Tipton, our 5th-grade teacher, started teaching her students how to play chess during the last week of school 24 years ago, and she has continued that tradition at Oakdale ever since. βοΈ
Students absolutely LOVE it! It is amazing to watch them go from knowing very little about chess to becoming strategic thinkers in just a few days. Through the game, students learn patience, problem-solving, planning, and critical thinking skills that will benefit them far beyond the chessboard.
Thank you, Mrs. Tipton, for continuing this special tradition and creating meaningful learning experiences that students remember for years to come! ππβοΈ

Our Pre-K graduates took the stage and celebrated a very special milestone as they completed their first step in their educational journey. From learning letters and numbers to building friendships, confidence, and a love for learning, these students have grown so much this year!
The smiles, songs, and proud moments shared during graduation reminded us just how bright their futures are. We are so proud of every one of these young Rockets and cannot wait to see all they accomplish as they head to kindergarten! ππ
A special thank you to our amazing Pre-K teachers and families for helping nurture, encourage, and support these students throughout the year. The seed has been planted, and we know great things are ahead! πΌπβ¨ Congratulations, Pre-K Class of 2026! πππ
