🥊 Semifinals Day – Team Pride Update 🦁
Today we have two athletes stepping into the ring at the TBA Classic!
Connor – Bout #242
Drake – Bout #350
Fights begin at 9:30 AM, and with four rings running simultaneously, Connor will be one of the very first athletes competing today. (Most likely ring 2)
Drake will be one of the final athletes to compete today. Based on the current schedule, bout pace, and the lunch break, our best estimate is that he’ll compete around 3:00–3:30 PM.
As always, bout times are estimates and can shift throughout the day.
He battled through all three rounds against a tough opponent and earned his place in Sunday’s finals.
No shortcuts. No easy rounds.
Just good work against good competition.
We’ll reset and get ready for one more.

Phenomenal fight against a tough opponent.

This one is bittersweet.
We didn’t get the win today, but honestly, that’s not what I’ll remember.
I’ll remember watching Dakota fight through himself.
Because sometimes that’s the hardest opponent you’ll ever face.
When Dakota first started training with us, it was easy for adversity to get the best of him. It was easy to get discouraged, easy to doubt himself, and easy to mentally shut down when things got uncomfortable.
Today, adversity knocked on the door again.
The old Dakota showed up for a moment.
But for the first time, he didn’t listen.
There were multiple opportunities to fold.
He didn’t.
There were multiple opportunities to give in.
He didn’t.
Did nerves play a role? Absolutely.
Did conditioning play a role? Absolutely.
Good news… those things are easy to fix.
Quitting is the hard thing to fix.
Today, Dakota proved to himself that he’s becoming someone different.
As a coach, that’s the real victory.
Proud of you, brother.
Now we get back to work.

Today:

Lunch @ bout 190
(around noon)
Amare 212 (130ish)
Charlie 239 (3ish )
Keep in mind all timelines are fluid, depending on how the rings are moving. Above times are our best ‘guesstimates” based on the 20 fights an hour average pace.
Let’s go Pride🔥🔥🔥

People love to celebrate the wins.
But as a coach, these are often the moments that tell me the most about a person.
Jackson Wilson fought a tough opponent today at the TBA Muay Thai World Classic, and we didn’t get the outcome we wanted.
That’s fighting.
You put your hard work on display, you take risks, and sometimes things don’t go your way.
But here’s what I know…
This kid has heart.
Because almost immediately afterward, his mind wasn’t on what happened. It was on what comes next.
That’s the stuff you can’t teach.
Anybody can smile when things are going well.
Character shows up when they aren’t.
Extremely proud of this young man. The growth is there. The future is there.
Now we get back to work.
