The Office of Community Engagement empowers students to become active citizens and develop a responsibility toward community through service and volunteerism; community partnerships and connections; intentional learning opportunities; and, a focus on civic engagement and critical societal issues. Through involvement and participation in Community Engagement’s programs, leadership opportunities and

student-led events, UCO students have the opportunity to give back to and invest in their community on a variety of levels. Outside of the programs and events hosted by Community Engagement, our office supports UCO students, faculty and staff in their efforts to engage themselves in their community through:

First service event of the school year✅

We had such a great time this morning at Becoming Broncho serving at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma! Our team helped work the bread station and completed packing 1,146 boxes! This gave us a total weight of 14,338lbs of food, and will provide 11,949 meals for our community!

Thank you to our volunteers for joining us today, and shoutout to the Broncho Alumni we ran into today as well!

Can’t wait for our other upcoming service events for this semester- be on the lookout to sign up!

Broncho Bites volunteers can sign up for shifts for the fall semester to help pack food at Ayer’s kitchen and make it available to students, faculty and staff at the Broncho Bites fridge in the Nigh University OR to help collect food scraps for on-campus composting!

During the first week of classes, the Central Pantry will be operating on Back to School Hours! We will be open on:

MONDAY, AUGUST 17th from 12PM TO 4PM
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20th from 12PM TO 4PM

Regular Fall 2026 Hours will start on Monday, August 24th!
