This is Memorial's third 🏅that I know of!

We were missing one of our peeps but had a strong day. Everyone contributed through leadership, tossups, and or 60 second rounds. Stand out performances from Barak and Suvan. Great job Alexander, Ben, and Tanvi. Small field but their Froshmore performances proved they were a capable lot. Congrats on a great freshman year!

Rough day with lots of tough competition.

Thanks to Yukon Academic Team for hosting the YEAT today. Thanks to the collegiate volunteers who officiated today.

Impressive day from HALF of our Froshmores. Two of our four teams made state. Unfortunately all four couldn't but they all had a great season.

These two teams finished 2nd and 4th, respectively. The LEFT lost only to Yukon. The RIGHT only lost to the three top teams (Yukon, Memorial, & Jenks). Those games were all close.

The future looks bright for the team with ALL of our talented Froshmores.

Albrecht Durer's rabbits provided good luck as the A team went undefeated on Saturday at Stillwater High School's NAQT Tournament.

The B team had a good day racking up some points and also gaining some valuable experience. They demonstrated some great teamwork among the five of them.

Congrats to the freshies for winning their OJABA Regional in Dale, America. Tanvi, Suvan, Barak, and Ben, oh my!

The Froshmores won their Humanities/FineArts and Science competitions. Katie, Katie, and Suvan (Alexander not pictured) 🧠🧠🧠

Our other team racked up some wins and placed 2nd in their science competition beating Edmond North's A Team. Great teamwork and grit Barak, Lizzy and Patty 🪐🪱

Theme of the day for us! We played Yukon twice and lost both times by ten.

We finished 2nd at the OSSAA Academic Bowl State Tournament today.

Yukon showed remarkable depth in an impressive performace. Not sure they have lost too many games, if any, in the last few years.

Spent the day with my friend Mark Beccanen, longtime coach for Edmond Santa Fe.

We have competed numerous times over the years in what are always tight matches that are often for 1st place or the chance to play for first.

Mark is a generous person who always puts student opportunities before everything else.

That said, Mark's teams were always sharp and some of our most fierce competition from OSSAA to Forth Smith Northside, from North Kansas City and Savannah, Missouri, to Vanderbilt and ASCN in Chicago.

Mark was the Cimarron coach of the the eventual Memorial students who won the back to back ASCN championships in 1995 and 1996.
