The mission of the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education is to promote financial literacy and economic and education in Oklahoma.

OCEE is designated by the State of Oklahoma to provide training, materials and support for teaching personal financial literacy in our state. We work closely with the State Department of Education and other organizations to ensure teachers are prepared to help students learn how to make good choices that impact their financial success, today and tomorrow.

Cheers to seven years, Sarah! 💚🎉

Today we celebrate Sarah and the incredible impact she has made during her seven years with OCEE. From helping grow programs like Invest in Girls and $martPath to supporting students, teachers, partners, and our mission across Oklahoma, her work has truly made a difference.

But beyond the programs and projects, Sarah brought so much fun, energy, creativity, and heart to OCEE over the years. She helped create not just meaningful work, but meaningful memories and relationships along the way.

Thank you for the care, passion, and fun you brought to this mission every day. We will miss you, but we are excited to cheer you on in your next chapter at UCO!💚

What an incredible Saturday in Ardmore!

We were so excited to partner with Girls on the Run of Southern Oklahoma at their Celebratory 5K and spend time with such an inspiring group of young girls and families in the community.

We had the opportunity to host a booth focused on budgeting and the real-life costs of owning and caring for a dog, helping students think through everyday financial decisions in a fun and interactive way. We also loved giving away books to the girls who attended the event! Thank you to Girls on the Run for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful celebration. It was amazing to see so much confidence, encouragement, and joy as participants crossed the finish line and celebrated all they accomplished this season.

We’re grateful for partnerships like this that help bring financial literacy and positive opportunities to students and families across Oklahoma!

Budget cuts, brain teasers, and financial trivia? Count us in! We had such a great time volunteering at the first-ever MidFirst Bank Financial Escape Room at Del City High School!

This event was such a creative, hands-on way to teach students real-world financial decision-making skills. Students worked through budgeting challenges, solved financial trivia and puzzles, and learned how everyday spending choices can impact their overall financial picture. It was exciting to watch students collaborate, think critically, and engage with personal finance in such a fun and interactive environment.

A huge thank you to MidFirst Bank and Del City High School for inviting us to be part of such an impactful day. We love seeing innovative approaches to financial education that help students build confidence and practical money management skills for the future!
