The indoor fields get quieter, the cages echo differently, and the whole place carries a different kind of energy but this is exactly where the real growth happens.
Winter reps — mentally and physically — have a way of showing up loud and clear when spring finally rolls around.❄️➡️🌱
In our house right now, we’re living in two very different seasons.
One kid starting off-season work, putting in the quiet reps no one sees.
Another stepping into his competition season… where the stands are warm and loud and full of energy — and the lessons look completely different. 🥎🤼♂️.
But even though their schedules don’t match, the truth behind them does: every season demands effort every season has choice and every choice has a consequence. Sometimes right away. Sometimes not until much later.
Both of my kids are learning this in their own way. When you put the work in, it shows. And when you don’t, that shows too.
So as we move into this next phase — indoor softball grind for one, competitive wrestling season for the other — our family focus stays the same:
💪 Show up
🔥 Do the work
🌱 Make choices your future self will thank you for

What a weekend! Spending almost 12 hours at the ball field yesterday was a first for this softball mom.
The girls started with a loss in their first game, which meant they had to battle through four consecutive games to make it to the championship.
And battle they did! Despite the heat, wind, red dirt in their faces, and a few errors, they persevered. Each of them had shining moments, playing with grit and heart. I think I had a couple of heart attacks along the way, but it was worth it.
Next time, it will be first-place rings. In my heart, they were the true champions.
Seeing them grow as a team and as individuals has been such a highlight for me. Go Performance!

I had to share these words today. This topic has been on my heart for a while, and my sweet cousin (aka niece, Danielle) posted about this, too, so I just had to jump on the bandwagon.
Life's lessons have shown me the profound impact of actions over words. My journey through divorce taught me to advance with purpose and compassion—our actions, not just our words, truly shape our lives and affect those around us.
I'm continuously learning to own my actions and avoid casting blame. Instead of judging, I strive to understand others, which doesn't necessarily mean agreeing, but actively listening—a key element in my healing and personal growth. This approach has significantly contributed to the happiness I've rebuilt after my divorce.
Each challenge presents a chance to evolve, but recognizing and seizing these opportunities requires action, not just intent. Merely declaring my aim to become a better person is meaningless without taking concrete steps to achieve it.
I’m committed to improving myself and facing difficult situations with a mindset of growth and resilience. Let’s remind ourselves that our actions can lead to healing and growth. Let's be the change we wish to see and inspire others through our deeds.
Stay strong and keep pushing forward!

What a great night with Adelyn's Performance softball team to watch OU v Tulsa. So grateful for this opportunity for my daughter and her team not to only watch but get to be in the field during national anthem.
Highlights was Adelyn meeting the famous Patty Gasso, a beautiful hit over fence for a grand slam home run by OU and creating precious memories with both my kids.

I'm on my way to see family for Hoilday without my kids. Solo trips can be bitter sweet. Though I would focus on the sweet with my mom hat off and read a classic.

🌟 Embracing Strength Through Vulnerability 🌟
Life's journey is a tapestry woven with unexpected twists and turns, leading us through challenging transitions.
💪✨ One of my most profound challenges involved transitioning into the role of a single mother. It was an unanticipated change, one I didn't welcome, and consequently, I struggled in silence without seeking help.
Brene Brown's wisdom resonates deeply with me. As I began to open up about my vulnerability and shared my story, I discovered the power to not only heal myself but also to potentially assist others. Embracing vulnerability became a catalyst for my personal growth.
This transition, initially unwelcome, unfolded into a new beginning rather than an end.
🌈 Through embracing the journey, I realized that within these moments of change lie the keys to unlocking my true resilience and strength.
I share my story in the hope that it becomes a guide for your journey.
🔍 Change can be daunting, but it's also an opportunity for growth. As one chapter closes, another one begins, full of untapped potential and new possibilities.
📖✨ Don't be afraid to let go of the familiar; sometimes, the magic happens when we step into the unknown.
🌟 Your journey is uniquely yours, and you have the strength within you to navigate this transition. Remember, even the darkest nights eventually give way to the dawn.
🌅✨ Keep moving forward, and before you know it, you'll emerge from this period of change stronger, wiser, and more empowered than ever.
Wishing you love, light, and the unwavering belief that better days are ahead. 💖✨

Knowing yourself is key to your happiness.
Are you a introvert and can you relate to this?
