🤖💪 Small Robots. BIG Pulling Power!

Our students put their engineering skills to the test with a Robot Tug-of-War Challenge!

After weeks of experimenting and improving their designs, they applied what they learned to build stronger pulling robots:

⚙️ Added gear trains for maximum torque
🛞 Increased traction for a better grip
⚖️ Added and positioned weight over the drive wheels
Tested, modified, and tested again!

The result? Small robots that are surprisingly STRONG!
This is engineering in action—build, test, learn, improve, and compete!

🤖Sunday Class = Learning + Lots of Fun!

Our Sunday class was full of energy and excitement! After completing their new small robot builds, students jumped into coding-bringing their creations to life one command at a time.

Build it. Code it. Test it. Improve it.

Another fun day of hands-on learning at STEM Adventures!

Build. Test. Improve. Repeat.

Our STEM Adventures VEX IQ Robotics Team has spent the last three weeks designing and refining their drivetrain—and now it’s time to put it to the test!

🏎️ Speed— How fast can it move?
💪 Strength— How much power can it deliver?
⚖️ Stability— Can it stay controlled under pressure?

With the drivetrain taking shape, the team is moving on to the next challenge: building a pneumatic-powered claw, followed by a fast-acting arm designed for quick and efficient game play.

Every test teaches us something. Every adjustment makes the robot better.

The iteration continues! 🔧🤖🏆

Iteration Continues!

This week, our young engineers explored how gears can completely change a robot’s drivetrain.

⚡ First challenge: Make it FAST!
đź’Ş Next challenge: Make it STRONG!

Students experimented with different gear configurations, tested their robots, observed the results, and made improvements—learning firsthand that engineering is all about build, test, modify, and try again!

Every change teaches us something new. The iteration continues!

🤖 A New VEX IQ Season Begins!

Our VEX IQ Robotics Team has officially started designing for this season’s LEVEL UP challenge!

After learning the new game and discussing strategy, the team decided to begin with a 4-wheel drive for strength and speed, a powerful two-motor arm, and a pneumatic-powered claw.⚙️💨

This is only the starting point—let’s see how their robot evolves through testing, problem-solving, and redesign over the coming weeks!

🤖 From Robot Parts to Tug of War!💪⚙️

Our Fall Robotics students are kicking off their first three weeks with an exciting Tug of War Robotics Challenge!

They start with robot parts, then build, test, modify, and improve their robots as they explore real engineering concepts:

⚙️ How different gear configurations affect pulling power
🏋️ How changing the center of mass can change the outcome
🛞 How different tires and traction affect performance
🧱 How to design a robot that can effectively pull objects and opponents

And after all the experimenting, testing, and redesigning, we’ll put their engineering to the test with our Tug of War Mini Class Competition!🏆

This is what hands-on STEM learning looks like: build it, test it, learn from it, and make it better!
