Have you ever heard of sodium alginate? It's a really fun compound to play with. We used it and calcium chloride to make a chemical reaction that resulted in gooey slimy worms. Super cool! We will definitely be doing this experiment at my Slime and Dough camp this summer. Don't miss out!

This past week in class we had some visitors that were really fun to touch and learn about. We learned about Bess beetles or Patent leather beetles. Many kids handled the beetles. Insects are so important for our world! It's important to instill an appreciation for them in our future generations.
