Whether you’re interested in gaining show experience on different horses, improving your equitation, or becoming part of a supportive team environment, we’d love to meet you. Open to both Addington Farm riders and riders from outside programs.

Fast Facts
- No rider needs to own a horse.
- Four possible ability levels: beginner, novice, intermediate, open.
- Riders entering grades 4-12 are eligible.
- Amateur Adults ages 21+ may also join and compete as individuals, against other adults, at flat,
18” and 2’ jump heights.
- Individuals and teams earn season points toward qualifying for regional, zone and national
finals.
- Competition season starts August 1st and ends in November. Qualifying riders or teams may
continue to ride through National Finals in late April.
- Shows follow IHSA collegiate format. Riders compete on horses furnished by different show
barns which are assigned to riders by random draw. The use of personal tack is not allowed. This
balances competition variables and primarily tests riders’ horsemanship.

We had a great time at the OHJA banquet last night. We are so proud of all of our riders hard work and dedication last season to get here. We can’t wait to see what everyone accomplishes in the 2026 season!
