Our John Ross 5th graders have officially made it to Mount Vernon and are now headed to Williamsburg, where they will explore Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg tomorrow!
This has already been an incredible learning experience filled with history, hands-on exploration, and unforgettable memories. One especially meaningful moment was when our students participated in readings and a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the enslaved individuals who once lived and worked at Mount Vernon. It was a powerful and moving experience that helped bring history to life in a meaningful way.
We are so proud of the way our students have represented John Ross throughout this trip. We can't wait to see what tomorrow's adventures in Williamsburg have in store!

Before we get too far into summer, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible PTO! π
We are so thankful for their hard work, generosity, and the countless ways they support our school throughout the year. From making special moments happen for our staff and students to creating meaningful experiences for our Nighthawk families, they continually go above and beyond.
Their dedication helps make everyone feel loved, appreciated, and seen, and we truly could not do it without them.
Thank you for everything you do for John Ross and our Nighthawk family! π€π

A highlight of every May at John Ross is Ms. Radleβs Art Show, and once again, she and her students have absolutely outdone themselves! π¨β¨
The show was filled with unique and creative pieces that students have worked on throughout the year, showcasing not only their artistic talents, but also their growth, imagination, and hard work.
Ms. Radle truly exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond for students. She continually encourages them to think creatively, take risks, and push their abilities, creating opportunities for every student to shine.
Thank you, Ms. Radle, for sharing your passion and inspiring our Nighthawks through art year after year! ππ€

Today was our second Nighthawk Game Day, and what an incredible day it was! ππ€π
A huge shoutout to Ms. Heath and Mrs. Lloyd for all of the planning, organizing, and hard work that went into making today such a success. Thank you to our specials teachers for jumping in to help and to every volunteer who helped set up, run stations, and clean up throughout the day. None of this would have been possible without you!
Most importantly, thank you for helping create such a fun and memorable day for our students. Watching their smiles, laughter, and excitement made it the perfect way to celebrate the end of another amazing school year. πββοΈβοΈπ―

Last week was a busy and exciting one at John Ross! From our incredible 4th Grade Wax Museum to the Edmond North senior βclap out,β our halls were full of learning, celebration, and Nighthawk pride. πβ¨
Our 4th graders worked so hard preparing for the Wax Museum by researching historical figures, creating presentations, dressing the part, and bringing history to life for everyone who visited. Students impressed guests with their knowledge, creativity, and confidence as they shared all they had learned. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication they put into this project! ππ
We also loved celebrating former John Ross students during the Edmond North High School senior clap out. Seeing past Nighthawks walk our halls again as graduating seniors was such a special full-circle moment. ππ«
What a week to be a Nighthawk!
