Fried chicken at Michie Tavern in Charlottesville and then a tour of Jefferson’s Monticello along with Jefferson’s University of Virginia.

ANTLERS in DC

Today’s agenda: Arlington Natl. Cemetery, a trip to a Spy Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and 9/11 Pentagon Memorial! First hand experiences in DEER CREEK- where opportunities for learning are endless!

ANTLERS TAKE DC UPDATE:
Tour of the Capitol, Library of Congress, National Portrait Gallery and Ford’s Theater!

Our DCIS Antlers have made it to Washington DC! Thank you to our sponsors for providing this opportunity for our students!
First stop was the National Archives to view sacred documents. This evening they will visit the Lincoln Memorial and World War II Memorial. Keep checking back to follow along on their trip.

One last Summit Celebration. 💙⛰️

Today, we celebrated our final Campers of the Month for empathy, self-discipline, and confidence while also recognizing our incredible IXL students who showed amazing growth this year. We honored our attendance award winners for consistently showing up and giving their best every single day, announced our Masonic Students of Tomorrow, celebrated two outstanding teachers, and passed the Golden Antler one final time to Great Smoky Mountains and Team Shenandoah! 🦌✨

We are so proud of our Antlers and all they accomplished this year!

Antler Games 2025-2026 🦌💙

We are so thankful for our amazing Joshua Tree team for planning such an exciting day for our 5th and 6th graders. A huge thank you to our PTO for organizing and providing the inflatables that our kiddos absolutely loved, and to Legacy Bank for generously donating ice cream for all of our students! 🍦

We are also so grateful for all of our amazing parent volunteers who gave their time and energy to help make the day run so smoothly. Our kiddos had an absolute blast, and we are so thankful for the incredible DCIS community that helped make it all possible! 🦌

Our Antlers showed off their talents today at the DCIS Talent Show! From singing to comedy to performances across the board, our fifth and sixth graders put on a great show.

Big thanks to Ms. Palmer for all the work that went into making today happen for our kiddos!

DCIS continued one of our favorite annual traditions today with College and Career Day! 🎓✨

Our kiddos had the opportunity to learn about so many exciting career paths and hear from real professionals working in those fields. From healthcare to engineering, law enforcement to the NFL, and everything in between, our students got a glimpse into the many possibilities their futures can hold.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing guest speakers for taking time out of your day to spend it with a bunch of curious fifth and sixth graders. Your stories, advice, and experiences helped inspire the next generation of antlers. 💙
