It looks like a great day for some “Throwback Thursday” moments. We have enjoyed having all of our students back in school so much this month. Deputy Scites enjoyed celebrating summer birthdays with our students!

Our 2nd graders returned to school with a special morning greeting in the hallway with their teacher.

Our CD students joined the family on their first day of school! 🐾 So many good things are already happening in our school. We are truly off to a great start! 🥳

🕯️✨ Hey di**le di**le! ✨🕯️

Our kindergarteners had so much fun learning about nursery rhymes! We brought Jack Be Nimble to life by practicing our best jumps over the candlestick. 🕯️💨

We’re learning that nursery rhymes aren’t just fun to read—they help us build phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and a love for language while making wonderful memories along the way! 📚❤️

Our little Jacks were definitely nimble, quick, and ready to jump! 🥰

🔬🏗️ Amazing fourth-grade scientists learning about criteria and constraints during their science investigation!

Their challenge: Build a tower that will hold the weight of their science book. 📚

Criteria: The tower must hold the science book.
Constraints: Students can use only 10 pieces of construction paper and 30 cm of masking tape.

Our Panthers are putting their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to work! 🐾💡

Learning is taking flight at JEES! 🛫

Our 5th graders are putting the scientific method into action! They’re investigating an important question: Which way of folding a paper airplane will make it fly the farthest? 🛩️

Students are asking questions 💭, gathering information, forming and testing hypotheses, and sharing their results 📊. Along the way, they’re discovering that great scientists don’t just make guesses—they ask questions, test ideas, collect evidence, and learn from what happens!🌟

Who knew science could be this much fun? 🎉✈️

We had the best First Day of School today! 🐾 All of our students showed up ready to learn and have a great day. It was such a fun day to be a panther as we continue to “Grow together with Purpose” this school year.

We were so happy to welcome Dr. McCarthy, our Associate Superintendent from the Elementary Community, for a special visit today! ❤️
