We enjoyed many activities exploring the Letter B. For art we squish painted butterflies, painted birds, butterflies and babies. We used buttons for sensory play, practice counting and gluing. We also had bean and bug sensory play, played with blocks, danced to bouncing songs and read books about butterflies. The favorite activity was making nice cream out of bananas!

We had a great start to the new school year! We enjoyed making new friends and exploring the letter A. We painted A"s , apples, ants and alligators. We worked on our numbers by counting apple stickers. For movement we made ant figures and marched to the Ant song. For snack we learned about the body of ants by making ants out of grapes and strawberries, and made ants on a log. Our favorite was playing in the sensory bin with mini blocks and angels.

Ice cream week was a blast! We made our own "nice cream" out of frozen fruit and enjoyed icecream cones. For art, we made icecream sticker art, painted icecream cones and Sundaes. Learning about icecream inspired lots of fun and creative play.

We had so much fun exploring papaya and pineapple this week! We used our senses to see, touch,smell and taste each fruit. We learned how each fruit grows, read stories about them, and had fun with creative art. The favorite was using the top of the pineapple for printing!

We learned about the ocean and had lots of fun painting and gluing ocean creatures. We are also enjoyed having creative play with eachother! We danced, and had some tasty treats in the shape of fish!

We had so much fun learning about different summer fruits. We used our senses to feel, smell, taste, and see the beauty of each fruit. We had fun painting different fruits, but the favorite was making mango lassi!

We had a lot of fun working on our shape unit. We painted, glued, sorted and had snacks in the shapes we were learning about. We also read lots of books about shapes and made our bodies into shapes.

We had a fun week. We honored our Mothers by making a special Mothers Day Gift. We had some Cinco de Mayo fun by making corn salsa, eating tortilla chips, making sombrero hats, and dancing to Mexican music. We also enjoyed letter art and fun learning table toys and puzzles.

ART is so important for child development! It stimulates brain development, encourages problem solving and decision-making. It teaches confidence and persistence and how to process visual information. It works on emotional regulation, fine motor skills and is great for emotional health! And its FUN!
