Back to work this week highlighted by a great partnership with JAG Physical Therapy . I had the privilege of speaking to about 20 Physical Therapists and Clinic Directors on new developments in Pain Management. This was a captive audience with a clear goal in mind, providing the most up to date care for our patients. I look forward to continuing our work together!

⭐ APP Leaders in Pain ⭐

Last week we held our Q3 meeting and brought together 10 APPs in neurosurgery and pain management. This was a group of high functioning APPs with experience levels ranging from under 2 years to 28 years! This quarter was sponsored by Jose Romano with Spinal Simplicity and focused on the Minuteman posterior fusion device. Jason Montgomery lead an excellent presentation covering patient selection, imaging, navigating insurance, and procedural techniques.

We continue to bring together the brightest APPs focused on growing their practice clinically and careers professionally. Whether you are interested in the specific industry sponsored education or networking and career growth, this group has it all. Thank you to everyone who joined us this quarter!

APP Leaders in Pain is coming to North Jersey!

Are you an APP making the average $120-130k?

ChiTown to teach HFX™ | Chronic Back & Leg Pain Relief HFX™ | Diabetic Neuropathy Pain Relief and Nevro1 SIJ fusion to APPs from all over the US.

Thank you to the attendees for your attention and focus. These days are long but the experience is unparalleled. Continuing to learn and keep up with the latest advancements in SCS is a never ending process. There aren't many of these events so it's great to see so many young APPs take advantage of the education and networking opportunities.

Thank you to Nevro for organizing another great event and to my co-faculty for sharing all your knowledge!

Knee injections of corticosteroid and lidocaine offer a quick solution to inflammation and pain. Not every structural problem requires repair; the body is pretty resilient and functional with less than optimal structure. By halting the inflammatory cascade patients can often compensate and get back to normal life. Steroids are not risk free but for the appropriate patient they can be an excellent option.

As long as the medicine is in the joint it should be equally effective whether performed anteromedial or superolateral. I generally prefer the superolateral approach as it's well tolerated, quick and allows for maximal draining when fluid is present.

PAs increase access to care. Your Doctor puts them in a position to do just that. This means your doctor trusts them enough to allow them to see you and care for you. You are always more than welcome to wait for the Doctor but if you trust that doctor as much as you say you do, you should probably take advantage of the earlier appt and see the PA!
