Gurus vs real mentors…

We all know the saying "Don't reinvent the wheel." But who do you turn to if you want real help?

There are SO many gurus who over-promise but under-deliver.

Here’s how to differentiate between gurus & real mentors:

Gurus offer quick, superficial fixes, (like "Just get my book" or "All you have to do is...")

Gurus speak from a stage or an online platform but don't get in the trenches with you

Gurus focus on short-term results (because they're not giving you but so much of their time)

But most importantly…

The real mentors have actually DONE what they say they can help you do. AND they get in the trenches with you until you've mastered it.

I've got these programs helping people rise from their setbacks and become their best self, and I’ve personally DONE this.

I’ve overcome limiting beliefs, transformed my mindset, and risen out of some real setbacks on the way to becoming my best self through the same strategies and techniques I teach in my programs.

AND I'm walking with people step-by-step to help them get it. I'm even in the midst of creating (with a great team) a residential program for people coming out of incarceration. Talk about helping people rise from setbacks!

So the next time you’re looking for some guidance…

Think about the claims they are making… and see if they’ve actually done it themselves and will walk beside you until you've done it also.

When we face setbacks we are at a crossroads 🛣️ 🚦 We can...

Option #1: Drive Blind

Most people I know hit the road without a map or clear destination. Not being clear about what exactly needs to be different in your life is like driving with a blindfold. Sure, you’re moving, but where to? 🚗💨

Option #2: Emotional Overdrive

Letting your emotions take the wheel can lead to rash decisions, like speeding in the wrong direction. It’s important to acknowledge your emotions but not let them drive. 🏎️💔

Option 3: Chart the Right Path: 🤔

Before you rev the engine and speed off, take a moment to define your destination. What change do you want to see at the end of this journey? Visualize it clearly - this vision is your GPS. 🗺️✨

With your destination locked in, plot your course. This doesn’t mean ignoring detours or shortcuts; it means being strategic about the ones you take. ️
