Taalim School of Indian Music supports and shares the music and dance of Indian, especially the North Indian classical arts of tabla and kathak dance to a diverse audience through performances, workshops, lecture-demonstrations, residencies, K-12 outreach, and formal education. Taalim School began as the premier institute for tabla in New Jersey. Founded in 2002, the institute has grown to become
one of the largest tabla schools in the region, with 15 locations for regular group classes in NY, NJ, PA and VA, and private lessons in countless more locations. Taalim also offers instruction in kathak dance, guitar and keyboard at select locations. The Taalim School is led by senior professional disciples of world-renowned tabla guru, Pandit Divyang Vakil. Panditji is the main force and strength of the school. Performances offered by Taalim include:
