A busy day of running a city came to life at JA BizTown for 58 students from Carteret Middle School. 🏙️

Students stepped into real-world roles—working jobs, managing businesses, handling transactions, and seeing firsthand how a community economy functions when every decision matters.

Deloitte volunteers helped guide students throughout the experience, supporting them as they navigated responsibilities, solved problems, and worked through what it takes to keep a business and community running smoothly.

By the end of the day, students didn’t just complete a simulation—they experienced how collaboration, decision-making, and accountability connect to real-world success.

EverBank volunteers helped bring financial decision-making to life for students at North Brunswick High School during a recent JA Finance Park Day. 🏦

Throughout the experience, students stepped into real-world budgeting scenarios—making choices around income, expenses, and priorities that reflect the decisions they’ll face in adulthood.

By working alongside volunteers during the simulation, students were able to talk through tradeoffs, ask questions, and better understand how financial choices impact long-term goals.

Experiences like this help students build financial literacy, confidence, and a stronger foundation for what’s next.

A successful JA BizTown Day is powered by the volunteers who help bring learning to life. 🌟

Recently, 47 students from Franklin Middle School and Sampson G. Smith School stepped into the roles of employees, business leaders, and consumers during a JA BizTown simulation, gaining hands-on experience in personal finance, career readiness, and economic decision-making.

Experiences like JA BizTown empower students to build confidence, make informed financial decisions, and explore what's possible for their futures. Together, we're helping young people develop the knowledge and skills needed for what's next while accelerating economic mobility through education.
