Join our Saint Matthew School and Parish Community tomorrow evening, December 13, for our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Watch the trees light up with their dedications after father’s special blessing, stay for some hot chocolate and fellowship, and maybe get a photo with Santa.

*Ceremony will take place right after 5:00 pm Mass (around 5:45-6:00 pm).

Santaland, our one-stop holiday shop is in full swing at Saint Matthew School. Many found some great buys, thanks to our busy elves. Students still have time to shop Thursday and Friday.

In the meantime, our holiday FUNdraising continues! We partnered with La Bon to make your holidays a little sweeter. Bring home some pie, cookies, or a gingerbread house to celebrate the season. Orders are due Wednesday, December 10. Pick-up at the school on Monday, December 22.

With deep sadness, we share the news that Principal Joyce Schaefer experienced the loss of her adult son, Christopher, who passed away on Monday. We extend our heartfelt condolences even as we have the Christian hope of God’s mercy and love. Christopher was living with Joyce, and we know the coming days will be challenging for Joyce and her family. The school and parish are committed to supporting Joyce in every way we can.

For those who wish to offer condolences, the viewing will be today, November 21,
3:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave, Edison. We will celebrate a Funeral Mass this Saturday at 9:30 AM here at Saint Matthew Church for those who wish to pray with the Schaefers and our community.
