Winter solstice equal to the shortest day
In 2023 Winter solstice is on Friday 22nd December, and the earth's poles have its maximum tilt away from the Sun. This results in the Sun appearing at its lowest point in the sky at noon, and the day with the least amount of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere thus having the longest night.🌞🌞

The same phenomenon occurs in the Southern Hemisphere on June 21st or 22nd, marking the shortest day of the year for that part of the world.🌞🌞|
