⚾ Opening Day is Here! ⚾
Dear East Side Families,
Tomorrow is Opening Day at East Side Elementary, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students back for the 2026-2027 school year!
Just like every great baseball season begins with the first pitch, every great school year begins with the first day. Tomorrow we step onto the field together with fresh notebooks, sharpened pencils, eager minds, and endless possibilities.
This season, our team has 180 school days to grow, learn, and improve our academic stats. Every book we read, every math problem we solve, every act of kindness we show, and every challenge we overcome moves us one step closer to becoming the best version of ourselves.
At East Side, we know championships aren't won in a single game—and successful school years aren't built in a single day. They are earned through consistent effort, teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude. Whether your child is stepping into kindergarten for the very first time or beginning their final season at East Side as a fifth grader, we are excited to cheer them on every step of the way.
Personally, I am incredibly excited to begin my eighth year as Principal of East Side Elementary and my fifteenth year with Edinburgh Community School Corporation. It has been an honor to serve this amazing community, and I can't wait to see what our students, staff, and families accomplish together this year.
As we take the field tomorrow, let's remember:

Celebrate growth—one day, one lesson, and one success at a time.
