Congratulations to Daniel Morales, 1st place winner of the 12th Grade division at the 2022 Texas State Grade Championship and $1,000 Chess Scholarship to UTRGV - The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Daniel is a student at IDEA Toros and has shown what hard work and determination can accomplish.

Thank you to all who participated in the 2022 Texas State Grade Championships UTRGV - The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. We want to give a special thanks to Dark Knights Chess who helped us run this wonderful event. Year after year they help us put on such amazing tournaments with their talented staff. We thank GM Coach Bartlomiej Macieja for helping us acquire this tournament. We thank the Chess Club members for volunteering their whole weekend to help.
