We have officially wrapped up the semester by celebrating 40 amazing BBA Marketing graduates at our Certificate and Cord Ceremony!

To all graduates: we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved.
To the parents and loved ones who cheered the loudest: thank you for being their biggest fans.

We also want to send a huge thank you to our Associate Dean, Department Chair, and our faculty for paving the way for the next generation of marketing leaders. Next stop is Commencement! Finish strong and get ready to take on the world, Class of 2026!

In wrapping up the Spring 2026 semester, our Advanced Digital Marketing students finished strong by having demonstrated their readiness for the professional world through their final client presentations. These teams spent the last several months partnering with organizations across the Rio Grande Valley to develop comprehensive strategic plans grounded in research and measurable goals. By operating as professional agencies rather than students, they produced high-quality work including digital content, prototype applications, and performance-driven campaign concepts.

This experiential learning process allowed each student to build a polished digital portfolio that will serve as a valuable asset in their upcoming internships and careers. The creativity and professionalism shown during these presentations reflect the hard work put in throughout the semester! Congratulations to our Advanced Digital Marketing students on an incredible semester and an outstanding set of final presentations.

Last Friday, business students headed to San Antonio for an immersive look at the sports and tourism industries. The trip kicked off with an exclusive panel, where students gained insights directly from Spurs leadership and staff. The learning continued with a deep dive into destination marketing at the Visit San Antonio destination marketing organization office, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at the strategies used to position the city as a destination. Students concluded the day by cheering on the Spurs versus the Dallas Mavericks and the Spurs won - a perfect end to a day of professional growth!
