We're still reminiscing on the UTRGV Winds Orchestra and Symphonic Winds performance that was held here the other day. We want to congratulate everyone involved. Special recognition goes out to Dr. Allison Davis, who is one of our newest faculty additions to the UTRGV School of Music, and to Dr. Saul Torres, for not only mentoring our students but also preparing them for such a wonderful performance. Congratulations to Dr. Shoko Kinsella for a wonderfully executed performance! Last night our audience was taken on a piano tour to Japan, showcasing various genres of Japanese music! Works including popular video games and anime songs!

Don't feel left out! Shoko Kinsella's Piano Tour to Japan will be taking place again in Brownsville at the TSC Performing Arts Center on Sunday, October 15th at 3:00pm. The Faculty Chamber Recital was beautifully executed and featured our very own Nicaulis Alliey-Rodrigues, flute; Rebecca Coberly, soprano; Daniel Hunter-Holly, baritone; Stacy Kwak piano; Tido Janssen, cello; and Cynthia Cripps, saxophone.

We want to thank Dr. Joel G. Pagán and Dr. Diana Seitz for bringing us a wonderful night of music this past Friday during their UTRGV Faculty Duo Recital. The evening featured music by Nicky Aponte, Manuel M. Ponce, Jose L. Elizondo, Astor Piazolla, and Emiliano Revert. Truly, a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!
