Some of the biggest wins happen long before game day. 🏈

Noble Texas Builders was recently recognized with the UTRGV Career Center's Champion Employer Award at Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium, home of Vaqueros football, for its continued investment in UTRGV students through recruiting, internships and career development.
Since 2019, Noble has taken part in UTRGV Career & Internship Expos, helping connect Vaqueros with meaningful career opportunities. Today, approximately 60% of the company's workforce is made up of UTRGV alumni, while current students continue to gain valuable hands-on experience through internships.
Following the award presentation, 20 UTRGV students toured the stadium, met with company leaders and explored careers in the construction industry.

Noble's work on Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium has also earned national recognition, receiving both the National Excellence in Construction® Eagle Award and the prestigious National Innovation Award at the 2026 ABC Convention.

Congratulations to Noble Texas Builders on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for helping prepare the next generation of Vaquero professionals.

Academy Award-nominated actor, producer and musician Terrence Howard visited The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday, where he toured campus, met with students and learned more about the university's programs.

Howard, best known for his roles in Hustle & Flow, Crash, Empire and Iron Man, was in the Rio Grande Valley in connection with a new business venture.

His stop at UTRGV came a day after the City of Edinburg honored him with a special proclamation officially declaring July 27 as Terrence Howard Day.
