Student Spotlight!
Q and A with Mark Reyna.

Q: Hi Mark, what’s your major?
A: Biology

Q: Why did you decide to enroll in the Uteach program?
A: I decided to join Uteach because it is the only program that ensures its students will enter their teaching career highly qualified and ready to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

Q: We heard you wrote a book, can you tell us more about it.
A: It is a children’s book that aims to inform elementary students about Food Insecurity and Food Redistribution in our region. The story provides insight on the actions that UTRGV Food Pantry has taken to assist UTRGV students within their community who face food Insecurity.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: I see myself finishing my Master’s in Biology specializing in Endocrinology.
