The UTRGV Office of Emergency Management, in collaboration with the UTRGV Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and Superhero Project, is hosting the first-ever Ready UTRGV event to coincide with National Preparedness Month and National Collegiate Safety Awareness Month (NCSAM).

Come and receive information regarding on-campus and off-campus safety resources, so you can be prepared in case of a disaster or emergency at school, home, and throughout the local community.

The events will take place from 10 a.m. to Noon on both days.

Our Origins

The UTRGV Superhero Project, is a UT System Active Bystander Initiative. Established September 1, 2015, with the inception of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Superhero Project has grown to not only impact our university but also our local community. Our goal is to have students be able to, Recognize a harmful situation, Choose to intervene either directly or indirectly, and to Act on their decision and make our campus a safe environment for all.

We offer a variety of different training's in conjunction with UTRGV Student Rights and Responsibilities such as: Academic Integrity, Superhero Active Bystander, One Love "Escalation" (Healthy Relationships), #BehindThePost One Love Training, QPR Su***de Prevention, Stalking Awareness, Dream Zone (Dreamer Advocate Training), Green Zone (Military Support) Training, and Title IX training.
