UTRGV Talent Search - Edinburg

Talent Search is a federally-funded early intervention outreach program. The program serves over 800 students each academic year.
The objective is to assist participants in the acquisition of skills that will prepare them for entry into the college of their choice. Participants receive a variety of services which include: counseling; academic advisement; assistance with financial aid and admissions; study skills, career exploration, interest inventories; visits to post secondary institutions and job sites.

Yesterday our Talent Search Edinburg students attended Texas A&M Kingsville Preview day. They were able to tour the campus, learn about the admission process, financial aid, housing and learn about the different majors and what they have to offer. At the end of the preview day students were able to enjoy the Javelina football game! Thanks to the students for attending our trip & to TAMUK for hosting a great preview day!

We had the opportunity to take our Talent Search students to the Texas TRIO Student Leadership Conference in Houston, a couple weeks ago.
