A message from our Founder

Giving back to the community that has inspired her to succeed in life was her number one priority. Growing up in rural East Edinburg with her siblings, Maricela learned to see a greater picture outside of San Carlos, Texas. When she graduated from college and pursing a Masters degree from UTPA, she realized she needed to fill a void in her heart. She began to ask for her friends to help her raise some money to help 50 students at her alma mater, San Carlos Elementary. She succeeded! The smiles on the children’s faces when they met Ms. Maricela De Leon were heartwarming and life changing. Since 2009 she began her charity to give back to students who grew up in a community much like she did. She loves education but most importantly making sure the students have the educational tools to succeed in the classroom. Since then, she has assisted well over 3500 students in the Rio Grande Valley. Her big heart and love for education is evident in Just Kauz It’s Right.
