UTRGVVBOC provides business training, counseling, and mentoring to veterans and active duty personnel military community.

The UTRGV Veterans Business Outreach Center's (VBOC's) mission is to help create, retain and develop businesses and to contribute to the success of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who are members of the U.S. We provide entrepreneurial trainings, counseling, technical assistance, and mentoring to transitioning active-duty members, veterans, disabled-veterans, reservists, national guard members and spouses in the west, central and south Texas. The UTRGV Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) was proud to participate in the 3rd Annual Lipan Apache Veterans Powwow in Corpus Christi, Texas!

Business Advisor David Medrano represented VBOC, connecting with veterans, military families, and community members while sharing resources available to support veteran and military-connected entrepreneurs.

Thank you to the Lipan Apache Tribe and event organizers for bringing the community together for this meaningful celebration of service, culture, and tradition!

📢 Holiday Closure Notice
In observance of Labor Day, our office will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Today, we recognize the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers across our nation, including veteran entrepreneurs who continue to strengthen our communities through leadership, service, and entrepreneurship.

🇺🇸 UTRGV VBOC was proud to participate in Laguna Madre Vet Fest 2026!

Represented by Director Juan Santos, VBOC joined community partners in connecting veterans, service members, military spouses, and their families with valuable resources, support, and opportunities.

We were also pleased to connect with Texas State Representative Janie Lopez, and appreciate her continued support of veterans and the military-connected community.
